HeyHomeCare for Axxess: AI voice & SMS for mixed clinical and non-medical agencies.

HeyHomeCare integrates with Axxess Home Care via native API and with Axxess Home Health via webhook patterns. It picks up caregiver and clinician calls and texts — coverage gaps, call-outs, missed clock-ins, schedule questions — and runs the workflow across your Axxess modules so a single AI layer covers your whole staff inbound.

Native API

By the HeyHomeCare team. We build the Axxess integration in-house and integrate with the other platforms mixed-service agencies evaluate, including AxisCare and AlayaCare.

What this integration does
HeyHomeCare integrates natively with Axxess Home Care via API, and supports Axxess Home Health via webhook — so mixed-service agencies consolidate caregiver and clinical-staff inbound across both modules into one AI layer.
01 / What it does

What HeyHomeCare does for your Axxess agency.

Axxess is built for skilled care — its OASIS-E, PDGM, and hospice CAHPS workflows are among the strongest in the industry. What it doesn’t do is field the phone when a clinician’s visit falls through, or when a non-medical aide calls out at dawn. That inbound still lands on a coordinator.

HeyHomeCare is the AI voice and SMS layer that handles it. For mixed-service Axxess agencies — home health alongside hospice and non-medical home care — it’s especially useful, because it consolidates staff inbound across every module into a single agent instead of a phone tree per service line.

  • Clinician and caregiver call-outs across home health and home care
  • Coverage-gap routing when a scheduled visit is at risk
  • Missed clock-in chasing before the visit window closes
  • Routine schedule and PTO questions, answered without a coordinator
  • Escalation to the right on-call lead — clinical or operational — with context
02 / Integration tiers

Integration tiers: Home Care vs. Home Health.

Axxess is a multi-product suite, and our integration depth follows the module. We’re honest about which is which so you know exactly what you’re getting.

  • Home Care — native APIBidirectional, real-time sync of caregiver records, shifts, and time-off. The agent reads the live schedule and writes outcomes back automatically.
  • Home Health — webhookEvent-driven integration: Axxess pushes schedule and assignment changes to HeyHomeCare. Covers the core inbound use cases with light configuration.
  • Staff rosterClinicians and caregivers synced so the agent recognizes every caller and knows who is eligible to cover.
  • Interaction notesCalls and texts logged against the relevant record so coordinators see outcomes inside Axxess.
03 / Use cases

Use cases for mixed-service agencies.

Clinical staff coverage gaps

A home health visit is suddenly uncovered. HeyHomeCare identifies eligible clinicians from your Axxess roster, offers the visit, and confirms coverage — escalating to the clinical on-call lead only if no one picks up.

Non-medical caregiver call-outs

A personal-care aide calls out. The agent verifies the shift, texts eligible caregivers to fill it, locks in the first confirmed taker, and updates the schedule — the same workflow as a dedicated non-medical platform.

Missed clock-in chasing

A visit start passes with no clock-in. HeyHomeCare reaches the staffer immediately, confirms they’re on-site or reroutes, and flags a true no-show — protecting both the visit and the billing.

Patient-side communication

Where appropriate and after HIPAA and clinical-protocol review, the agent can handle defined patient-facing flows. We start with staff inbound and expand only deliberately.

04 / Setup

Connecting HeyHomeCare to Axxess.

Home Care connects with a single API key. Home Health adds a short webhook configuration step. We sequence multi-module agencies one module at a time so nothing is disrupted.

  1. Connect Axxess Home Care
Paste your Axxess API credentials. They’re encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Roster and schedule sync starts immediately.
  2. Configure Home Health webhooks
If you run Home Health, we set up event webhooks so Axxess pushes schedule and assignment changes to the agent. This is the step that adds a few days.
  3. Provision your line and routing
Spin up or port your staff line, then map which situations the agent owns and which escalate to your clinical or operational on-call.
  4. Go live, module by module
Turn it on for Home Care first, validate, then add Home Health. Most agencies are fully live within a week.
05 / Pricing

What it costs.

HeyHomeCare is priced per active caregiver per month — and that price does not change with the number of Axxess modules you run. A mixed home health, hospice, and home care agency pays on roster size, not module count.

There are no setup fees and no per-minute charges, so call volume during a tough week never produces a surprise bill.

For multi-service Axxess agencies, one HeyHomeCare seat replaces a fragmented set of after-hours phone lines with a single AI layer across every service line.
06 / Security

Security and HIPAA.

Axxess agencies handle clinical PHI, and the controls reflect that. Every account gets a signed BAA before any data flows.

  • Signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) on every account
  • AES-256-GCM encryption for all stored integration credentials
  • PHI redaction on every log line — credentials are never logged in plaintext
  • HIPAA-aligned, SOC 2 Type II controls
  • Tenant isolation — your Axxess data is scoped to your agency only
